Dear Coaches,

On April 22, 2006 Morgantown High and West Virginia University will teaming up to celebrate track and field in the state. Jointly the schools will be holding a Track and Field Invitational on the campus of WVU. The meet will feature both High School and Collegiate athletes. The High School portion will run in a modified two-session meet format with the college sections following.

HS Boys 100m Trials

College Women’s 100m Trials

College Men’s 100m Trials

High School Teams from Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia will be invited along with many local and regional colleges of all levels. This is a great opportunity for high school kids to make an impression on college coaches and see some of the local college teams compete. Awards will be given and food will be available. The Meet will be conducted using Hy-Tek Meet Manager and FinishLynx timing and photofinish system. WVU’s has is a 8-lane superior rubberized encapsulated running surface, runways and high jump apron with concrete throwing circles. The indoor track, which is adjacent to the outdoor track, will be utilized as a warm-up area. Times and Marks will be given for all legal performances. This meet will be arranged in an athlete friendly manner to allow for great performances. A hospitality area will be available for coaches and meet workers during the break and T-Shirts will be on sale while supplies last. Many details of the meet and festivities are still in the works (including a title sponsor), but the goal is to highlight many of regions great athletes and to promote the sport. Please keep this date in your mind for next year. More information will follow. There will be a limit of 25 High school teams so interested teams should contact:
