Dear Coach,

The third annual Irwin Invitational Track Meet will be held at Elkins High School on Saturday, 16 April 2005. The meet will begin at 9:30 am and the coaches meeting will be held at 9:00 am. There will be both a boys and girls division. Again, field events will start at 9:30 and running events will begin at 10:00.

The entry fee will be $35.00 for one team or $50.00 to enter both a boys and girls team. You may mail the check with your entry form or bring it the day of the meet. Make the check payable to Elkins High School.

This will be a two session meet and ribbons will be awarded to the top 6 finishers in each event. Plaques will be awarded to the team champions as well as to the boys and girls high point athlete.

We have an 8-lane, all-weather Eurotan WS track (runways also). We ask that athletes use no spike longer than 1/4".

Starting blocks will be provided.

Concrete shot put and discus pads.

We are hoping to use a FAT system for the meet and we will use Hy-Tek scoring.

Please provide pole vaulting verification sheets for each vaulter.

You may enter a maximum of 3 athletes per event and you may not enter an athlete in more than 4 events.

Please enter your best times on the entry form. Be prepared to verify your times if challenged.

A team area will be provided in the grassy area outside of the fence at the south end of the track.

There is limited seating so please encourage spectators to bring lawn chairs.
