Bridgeport High School has announced their Varsity home meet schedule for the 2006 season.

 

Tuesday March 28th – Eight Teams (6 open spots remain)

Tuesday April 4th – Eight Teams (6 open spots remain)

Tuesday April 11th – Eight Teams (6 open spots remain)

Saturday April 22nd – Harry Green Invitational (16 open spots remain)

 

You can now go to our website to register for meets at Bridgeport for the 2006 season. The address is www.BridgeportTrack.com . Click on the [Meet Information] button in the menu bar on the left side of the screen. There you can find all the information and tools to register for meets at BHS.

 

We will be using the Hy-Tek Team Manager Computerized Entry System. You can download the events list file on our site. For Tuesday meets this allows you to email your entries the day before or bring your entries on disk or flash drive on the day of the meet. We can then provide detailed results to all the coaches at the meet.

 

The track at Wayne Jamison Field has a 6-lane polyurethane rubberized running surface. The field events have polyurethane rubberized runways and high jump apron along with concrete throwing circles. All running events will be timed with a FinishLynx automated timing system.

 

Each school will be allowed enter up to 3 athletes per individual event and 1 team per relay event for the Tuesday Meets. For the Harry Green Invitational each school will be allowed enter up to 2 athletes per individual event and 1 team per relay event. At the Harry Green Invitational trophies will be presented to the first and second place boys and girls teams and high point boy and girl. Trophies will be presented to 1st place finishers in each event (including relays). Ribbons will be awarded for 2nd through 6th places.

 

All track and field events will be run by qualified, certified officials. Meet results and scores will be posted throughout the meet and results packets or electronic result files will be available at the conclusion of the meet for all meets run at Bridgeport. The concession stand will be open and available throughout all meets. At the Harry Green Invitational a Hospitality Room will be available for coaches and meet workers during the break and Meet T-Shirts will be on sale while supplies last.
