For Hy-Tek Operators and/or and Coaches at Regional Meets:
In order to get Regional Meet results posted in a timely manner, we need your help. It is our understanding that all regions are to use Hy-Tek Meet Manager Software to score their meets. This makes it exceptionally easy to submit results to us quickly. The following is a brief "How-to" on submitting results. Method 1 is the preferred method and likely easiest for the Hy-Tek operators to handle while also making sure we get everything we want.
Method 1: The Back-up Method.
1. Give the Hy-Tek Operator a floppy disk.
2. Ask him/her for a backup of the meet. He/she should know how
to do this.
3. In the event that they don't know how to create a backup, here
is how it is done.
4. Make sure the meet is completely scored.
5. Click File
6. Click Backup
7. Select the A: Drive for the location of the backup.
8. It will ask if you want to include a message with the backup.
Tell it no.
9. It will tell you to insert the first disk of the multi-volume
set. Put in your disk.
10. Click OK.
11. E-mail the created file to runwv@runwv.com
as an attachment.
12. The name of the file will be something like tfmmbkupMeetName-01.zip.
This will allow us to post complete results of the meet, all trials and recorded distances and times included, within minutes after opening the e-mail.
Method 2: The HTML File Method.
1. Give the Hy-Tek Operator a Floppy Disk.
2. Request a results file that includes all rounds and all times
for both boys and girls. He/She should know how to do this.
3. In the event that he/she does not know how to do this, here is
what needs to be done.
4. Make sure the meet has been completely scored.
5. Click Reports at the top of the screen.
6. Select Results.
7. This will bring up another screen, from which several selections
must be made.
8. At the top, make sure "All Events" is selected rather than Session
1 or Session 2.
9. On the left hand side, for Gender, choose "Both."
10. On the left hand side, for Rounds, choose "All Rounds."
11. At the bottom, select "Flat HTML" for the Export File.
12. At the bottom, for "Include in Results," make sure Team Points
is marked.
13. At the bottom, for "Top How Many," leave it blank. This will
allow >the program to give us all times and distances rather than just
the top 6.
14. At the bottom, for "Relay Names," put 4.
15. At the bottom, for "Format," select Publication Order.
16. At the bottom, for "Style," select Compiled.
17. On the left hand side, click "Select All."
18. Click "Create Report."
19. When it prompts you for a location to place the file, select
the A: Drive for your floppy disk.
20. E-mail the file (which will likely be named "Results.htm") to
us at runwv@runwv.com.
Please make sure that if different computers are being used for boys and girls that you get both sets of results. Your help in this will make things happen much more quickly on this end, and as a result, you will have the results more quickly, the new Best Performances will be posted more quickly, and the State Meet Prediction process can begin earlier.
