RunWV has learned that Track and Field will likely be moving to a three class alignment beginning in Spring of 2003. This move is not official yet, but it appears that Track & Field, Volleyball, and Golf will be moving to a three class alignment for the next school year.

It has not yet been determined how the State Meet will function under a three class system. Possibilities include having the Girls State Meet a week before the Boys State Meet, having one class have their state meet a week early, or having one class at a different location.

The proposed Regional Alignments under the three class system would be as follows:

Region I:  	Brooke, Hampshire, Hedgesville, Jefferson, John Marshall, 
		Martinsburg, Morgantown, Musselman, University, Wheeling Park

Region II:	Buckhannon-Upshur, East Fairmont, Elkins, Fairmont Senior, 
		Nicholas, North Marion, Preston, Robert C. Byrd

Region III:	Capital, Greenbrier East, Parkersburg, Parkersburg South, 
		Princeton, Ripley, Riverside, Woodrow Wilson

Region IV:	Cabell Midland, George Washington, Huntington, Hurricane, 
		Nitro, South Charleston, Spring Valley, St. Albans

Region I:	Berkeley Springs, Frankfort, Keyser, Magnolia, Oak Glen,
