January 27 - Microtel High School Invitational

WELCOME to VIRGINIA TECH'S On-Line Entry Procedures for the MICROTEL HIGH SCHOOL INVITATIONAL. The following are instructions to our procedures for next weekends,January 19-20, meet... A Few Notes That Will Help...

Please read these completely BEFORE starting...

1- You will enter one Gender at a time. All the Boy's OR Girl's at one time...Then REPEAT the process (UNDER STEP# 6) for the other Gender.

2- The Microtel High School Invitational will be limited to the first 2500 athletes entered. We expect the meet to fill rapidly. The entry process will close on FRIDAY, JANUARY 19 even if we do not reach 2500 athletes.

3- Make sure to write down the Password YOU select and Team Abbreviation... you will need them.

4- If your high school has separate coaches for the Boy's and the Girl's... Share the password you select with that coach.

5- Make sure you have ALL the information, for ALL your athletes and relays when you start the entry procedure. Count the number of Individuals you will enter so you have it for STEP# 3...

6- The ENTRY fee is $5.00 per athlete, per event and $20.00 per relay team. Once you submit your entry your team will be expected to pay the entry fee...Even If You Choose to Not Attend. The fee is an ENTRY fee, NOT a Competition Fee.

7- You may pay the entry fee at the front door of Rector Fieldhouse at the time you pickup your teams packet. Receipts will be provided. Make Checks Payable to, "Treasure of Virginia Tech".

8- Print this page so you have it in front of you for the entry procedures:

Here we go...

Enter athletes BEFORE FRIDAY, JANUARY 19 (5:00PM) (This Meet will automatically close when we reach 2500 athletes entered...Once the meet is Full...it's FULL.)

STEP #1: Go to our "Entry Form" Page... by clicking here.

STEP #2: Select your team from the PULL-DOWN Menu...then Click "SUBMIT"
NOTE I: If your team is not on the list of teams...Go to "NOT LISTED" at the bottom of the Team List and click "submit".

Step #3: ENTER your team's information (Head Coaches Name, E-Mail, Phone Number, Fax Number, Select GENDER, Number of Athletes in individual Events, Select a Password) and click "ENTER ATHLETES" at bottom of page.
NOTE I: Write down your PASSWORD and SCHOOL ABBREVIATION (Abbv.) you will need them later.).
NOTE II: If you are one of the schools "NOT LISTED", you will also have to select your TEAM Abbreviation (up to 4 letters-All Capital Letters).
NOTE III: If you try to select a password and it indicates that "a password has already been assigned"..check with the other coaches at your high school to see if they have already entered...if they have,use their password to enter athletes under STEP# 6...

STEP #4: ENTER your relay team and predicted performance...ONE relay team per school per relay . Then, enter each athlete in their event(s) and their predicted performance...After typing in ALL athletes... Click "Submit Entry" at bottom of page...(DO NOT Click "Submit Entry" until you have all athletes and relays entered.)

STEP #5: PRINT the Confirmation page for your records...Those athletes are now entered. You do not need to do anything else for them.

STEP #6: To enter ADDITIONAL Athletes OR the other GENDER for your team...Go to: the entry page, TYPE your team ABBREVIATION and PASSWORD. Click on "SUBMIT" and follow STEP# 4 and STEP# 5. Repeat the process as often as you like PRIOR to 5:00PM on Friday, January 19 OR until we reach the maximum 2500 athlete entry limit.
