Coaches,

This mail was sent to us in late April. We held onto until now so that you could get all your hosted meets completed. Please take the time to track down the requested information and help one of your fellow coaches.

This message is to all track coaches and Athletic Directors. My name is Isaac Patterson, I'm an assistant coach for the Jefferson High Cougar Girl's and Boy's track teams. We're located in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Our track was deemed unsafe due to the condition of the track surface. Our local school board has been slow to act and has been reluctant to hold anyone accountable for allowing the track surface to deteriorate. I have spent countless hours at school board meetings, writing letters, etc. We are now at point where plans have finally been drawn up and a new facility is in the works. Some would have you believe that track is not a good source of revenue but I beg to differ. That is where I need your help. If any one can send me any information they have on any meets they have had this year and in the past, like average attendance, number of teams, revenue generated, and so forth. I want to have as much ammunition as possible to prove how popular track is and how much money can be generated from a well conducted meet. This will prove to any doubters just how important top notch facilities and equipment is to running a successful and profitable meet. I've fought long and hard to get this facility built and once it's completed I would like to personally extend an invitation to any and all teams. Please direct any questions and information to Isaac Patterson, e-mail address is HDP0007@aol.com or if you prefer P.O. Box 496, Kearneysville, WV 25430-0496. Thank you and good luck the rest of the season.
