Meet: Class AAAA Boys State Meet Predictions
Location: Cabell Midland High School
Date: To be held November 1, 2025
Predicted Class AAAA Boys Results
University looks like they have a nice gap on the field. Three guys near the very front will do that. I have
them with an advantage of more than 30 points over Cabell Midland. Cabell Midland had some injury issues at
the Regional, and that could impact their race. That could open the door for Morgantown to swoop in and take
the 2nd spot. I have Midland getting it by 17 points, but there is certainly room for it to go the other way.
I have Parkersburg taking 4th over Jefferson by 12, so that one is up for rabs also.

Predicted Class AAAA Boys Top 25
I like Micah Gainer for the top spot. The 14 second win at the Regional solidified my thought for this spot. I
put Ethan Conroy in the 2nd spot because he holds a couple wins over Gainer. I put Logan Conroy in the 3rd spot
because he's beaten Ethan more than Ethan has beaten him (5-4). That dropped Kyle Peters to 4th. Peters hasn't
raced any of those guys this year. He did win the MSAC and the South Regional against strong competition. It
would certainly not be a shock to see him rise to at least the 2nd spot. I put Dylan Dial into the 5th position.
He was ranked 2nd heading into the Regional, but a rough outing knocked him down the charts. He did get beaten
by Peters at MSAC, so I keep him behind Peters here. Connor George gets the 6th spot. He beat Dial at the Regional,
but Dial got him at MSAC. Again, it would be no surprise to see him move up. I put Rylan Moore in the 7th spot
solely on edging out Isaiah Griffin at the Regional with Griffin getting slated for the 8th spot. Given that it
was only by 0.1 seconds, it's certainly not much to go on. Either could move up pretty easily. I have Shane
Burkhardt in the 9th spot. He's ranked there and is historically a good big meet performer. I went with Scott
Leonard for the 10th position. He's ranked a couple spots below that, but he's beaten Burkhardt on several
occasions this season. My thought is that we go about 15 deep of very legitimate shots at the podium.
