Meet: Class AA Boys State Meet Predictions
Location: Cabell Midland High School
Date: To be held November 1, 2025
Predicted Class AA Boys Results
This is probably a two team race. I have Doddridge holding a 12 point lead over Lincoln. Lincoln has knocked
Doddridge off a couple times this year, so the race is certainly in play. I have Frankfort getting the 3rd spot
by a narrow 2-point margin. It would take an absolute blowout meet for them to contend for the title, but they've
done it before. Williamstown is the team in 4th just 2 points back. That's a peculiar one because Williamstown
technically didn't qualify as a team, having gotten 4th at their Regional (lost on the tie-breaker). However,
they took all 5 individual spots, which gives them enough to have a team score. Tyler Consolidated is just 11
points behind them in 5th, so them moving up is in range as well.
1. Doddridge 72
2. Lincoln 84
3. Frankfort 111
4. Williamstown 113
5. Tyler Consolidated 124
6. Ravenswood 146

13. Summers County 280
Predicted Class AA Boys Top 25
Amos Kimble is clearly the class of the field. The closest anyone in this field has gotten to him is 24 seconds,
and that was the only time under 40. Only two other times was anyone within 35 seconds. In all 3 instances, it
was his teammate. I have Gavin McDonald in the 2nd spot. Frankfort didn't race any of the other top competitors
in the field until the Regional, and he won it by 25 seconds. Travis Moore gets the 3rd spot. He's the teammate
behind Kimble. He's been consistently up front all season. Eric Alexander gets the nod for 4th. He has evelated
his game late in the season and is definitely trending in the right direction. Carter Sias is the pick for 5th.
He's ranked there. He was as high as 3rd before a mid-season injury knocked him back. He's still working his
way back into form. Carter Knight gets the pick for 6th. He's been trending upward and had an excellent Regional
race. Gavin Wilburn gets the 7th spot. He's been within 6 seconds of Sias in each of the last two meets. Adrian
Bott picks up the 8th spot. He's been strong all season. Brody Lester is in the 9th position. He's really
stepped up his performance late in the season. I moved Dakota Pettry into the 10th position. He was in position
to be a top 5 or 6 contender at mid-season before an injury derailed him. He's still working his way back into
form, but he's historically a good State Meet performer, so I didn't want to leave him out. Arguments can be
made for people almost all the way down to #20.
