Meet: Class AAA Girls State Meet Predictions
Location: Cabell Midland High School
Date: To be held November 2, 2024
Predicted Class AAA Girls Team Results
The team race should be very interesting. The power rankings have University with a substantial lead, but injury has
reared its head closed things up significantly. I still have University winning it, but I have it at just a 4 point
contest. Morgantown is just 12 points behind and is certainly a threat to extend their run of titles. Those three
should be clear of the rest of the field. I have Preston edging out Parkersburg for the 4th spot.

Predicted Class AAA Girls Top 25
#1 ranked Samantha Shreve gets the nod for the individual title. She hasn't ran against the other big dogs a lot, but
when she has, she's beaten them, knocking off #3 by 18 seconds at the Regional and #2 by 26 seconds in an early-season
meet. Ella Hardin gets the 2nd spot. Statistically, she had the top Regional performance and had standout 2nd place
finishes at Adidas and Louisville. I put Abigail Rogers in the 3rd spot. It would not shock me in the least for her to
move up. I feel pretty good about those three. Things get really complicated after that. I have about 15 girls that I'd
like to put in that top 10. I slated Neena McClintic into the 4th spot. She hasn't squared off with the other top runners
often but has held her own when doing so and put together some strong out of state meets. She wasn't far off Rogers at
the Midland night race and was in the middle of a tight trio at the Wheeling Park Fall Classic. Savannah Pritt is the
pick for the 5th spot. She's been steady all season. I moved Brenna Tipton into the 6th position. She has had an
excellent October with three really strong showings. Claire von Boetticher gets the 7th spot. She was right behind Tipton
at the Regional. She also has a couple wins over Rogers. Maraid Johnson gets the pick for the 8th position. She is
historically a good big meet performer. I moved Hannah Phillips into the 9th position. Her ranking doesn't really
support that, but her Regional run was outstanding, and she's always very dangerous. I put Sadie Yates into the 10th
spot. She's a bit of a wild card as she hasn't ran against anyone ranked ahead of her (aside from the Knight Night Relays).
There are several others that could easily stake a claim to a podium spot based on a one meet or a series of meets.
