Predicted Class A Boys Team Results
This should be one of the better team battles of the weekend. I have Charleston Catholic taking the title by just 7 points. St. Marys had the better Regional run, but Charleston Catholic was without one of its top guys. I'm assuming he'll be back in the lineup on Saturday. Doddridge is another 16 points back, but a strong day like they had last year could put them in the mix. Magnolia and Tyler Consolidated should battle for the 4th spot.
1. Charleston Catholic 61
2. St. Marys 68
3. Doddridge 84
4. Magnolia 125
5. Tyler Consolidated 126

Predicted Class A Boys Top 25
Amos Kimble comes in as the prohibitive favorite. He hasn't lost to anyone in Class A all season. Only one was anyone within 10 seconds, and only one other time was anyone within 20 seconds. I've gone with Donovan Tanouye for the 2nd spot. He's been consistently good all season long. There is a little bit of a question as he's only raced any of the other top guys twice. Landen Davis gets the nod for the 3rd spot. He had a fast Regional run and was the one the came within 10 seconds of Kimble early in the season. Dylan Malolepszy is slated in the 4th position. He's been good all season and is the only other one to have been within 20 seconds of Kimble, which he's done twice. Travis Moore is the pick for 5th. He's beaten Malolepszy twice, including at the Regional. Carter Sias is slated in 6th. After missing the bulk of the season, he stepped right into the mix at the LKC meet, where he beat Moore and was right on Malolepszy's heels. He then knocked off Tanouye at the Regional. Will Barton is the pick for 7th. He's been consistently good all season and has wins over Davis and Malolepszy on the season. Max Dauch is moved into the 8th spot. He had a very rough patch in the middle of the season but seems to have found his way out of it with a solid run the LKC and a very good Regional run. In the early season, he beat Davis and beat Barton twice. Peter Basdekis is slotted into the 9th position. He had a very strong Regional run (7th in the field). He hasn't beaten anyone picked ahead of him, but he's been very close to Barton on multiple occasions. Samuel Gola gets the nod for 10th. He has the 8th best ranking and has been consistently good all season. He knocked off Dauch at the LKC meet. As in a couple of the other races, I think we go a good 15 or 16 deep in podium contenders.
