REGION III AAA Championships

 

 

Date:            Thursday, October 24, 2024.

 

Teams:         Capital, George Washington, Greenbrier East, Oak Hill, Princeton, Riverside,          South Charleston, St. Albans, Woodrow Wilson

 

Location:     Coach Willie Barbera Memorial Cross Country Course, adjacent Beckley-Stratton Elementary School, Beckley WV.

 

Parking:       Bus and Spectator parking will be located at the bottom grass field off Pinecrest Industrial Park Drive#2 and #3.  

 

There is no parking at Beckley-Stratton Middle or Beckley Elementary School.

 

Directions:   From I-64 East, South of Beckley, Take Exit # 124. The Exit Ramp leads onto Joe L Smith Dr/East Beckley Bypass.  Travel through 2 stop lights, then take next LEFT onto Pinecrest Industrial Park Dr #2.  Travel through stop sign, continue as road veers right (signs posted).  Parking Attendants will assist.  (Directional Yard signs will be posted along the roads)

 

Facilities:    There will be bathrooms available at Beckley-Stratton Middle.

Please don’t wear your spikes inside the building.

 

Entries:        Athletic.net    Entry Deadline: Sunday, October 20th, 2024

 

Reminder coaches you can enter up to 10 athletes for the regional meet.  

 

Only 7 of the 10 entered may run in the race.

 

All entries must include grade level/class

 

Please make sure that the names of the athletes that you enter are on your eligibility certificate and that they are spelled correctly.

 

Chip timing will be used by Tri-state racer; Please return unused bibs.

Coaches Packet: Packets will be available at the finish line on arrival.

 

Admission Fee: Spectators fee via QR code for Digital tickets are $10 for Adult and $7 for Student.

 

Team Tents: There will be several posted areas you may place your team tent.

 

Awards:   First place team will receive a plaque and top 20 boys and girls will receive medals.

 

WV STATE MEET Qualifying:  

 

Teams:  Top 3 complete teams

 

                          Individuals:  Top 5 individuals exclusive of qualifying teams, with a minimum of 10 advancing.
