Buckhannon-Upshur Invitational 2024

When: Saturday August 31st, 2024

Where: Buckhannon-Upshur High School- scoreboard side of the stadium

Directions: Directions:  After getting off 33E or 33W, take 20S past Sheetz and Burger King. You are about 15 minutes from Buckhannon-Upshur School. Continue straight on 20S.  At the light by McDonald’ stay to the right. Pass Buckhannon-Upshur Middle on the left, then KFC. Continue until you get to Bu Drive. The State Police Barracks will be at the entrance. Course entrance is located at the left of the parking lot. There is plenty of parking.

IT IS BETTER TO ARRIVE EARLY THAN LATER! YOUR BEST CHANCE TO CHECK OUT THE COURSE IS BEFORE THE HS RACES!!! THIS WILL ALSO HELP US CLEAR UP TRAFFIC COMING IN AND OUT OF THE HIGH SCHOOL AS OUR RACE WILL NOW CROSS THE ENTRANCE OF OUR SCHOOL!!! PLEASE ADVISE THIS TO PARENTS AS WELL!!!

PLEASE ADVISE PARENTS LEAVING AFTER HS RACE TO BE AWARE OF MS RUNNERS CROSSING THE ROAD. WE WILL HAVE CROSSING GUARDS BUT STILL BE CAREFUL!!! THE SOONER YOU LEAVE AFTER HS AWARDS THE GREATER CHANCES YOU HAVE OF GETTING OUT WITH NO TROUBLE!! THANK YOU!!!!!

The cost for entry is $75 per individual team or $100 if bringing both a boys and girls team.

Admission is $7 per car

Checks for High School should be made out to Buckhannon-Upshur High School Athletics.

Middle School checks should be made out to Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School Athletics.

Entries: All entries must go through athletic.net. Entries due Aug.29th

Awards- Top 3 teams and top 15 individuals.

T-shirts will be available on raceday. No preorder.

Course Description: The course is a mix of a grassy field along with shaded trails through the woods. We have changed the course to incorporate wider trails that are more suitable for athletes and their safety. The course will be crossing the road behind the soccer practice field. Athletes will enter and exit the trails near the gravel parking lot by the practice field. Crossing guards will control traffic entering and exiting the school grounds to protect athletes!!!
