To promote youth cross country in WV, USATF WV will be hosting its annual West Virginia Association XC State Championships this year at Holly Gray Park in Flatwoods on November 9th. Attached is a flyer for more information regarding the meet. This will be a great opportunity for all age groups including young athletes that don’t run in many XC meets or for those to extend their XC post scholastic season.

USATF WV will also be contesting Master’s and Open Division races for those that might want to run a 5K. Those races will be run separately from the youth 5K races.

All competitors must have a current USATF membership. USATF’s memberships run from Jan. 1st until Dec. 31st. If you have a current membership, then you are eligible.

If you don’t have a membership, wait until November 1st to obtain a membership with USATF. You will have a membership that will last until December 31st, 2025.

This meet will be a qualifier for the USATF Junior Olympic Cross-Country Championships in Shelbyville, Indiana on December 14th.

Please help us spread the word with high school and middle school athletes, but also running clubs in WV.
