The weather for Saturday’s WV State XC Championship looks to be clear starting in the mid-40’s and only raising to the mid-60’s with 3-4 mph winds. This should be awesome racing weather and our course is in great condition. However, our area is predicted to get rain all night on Thursday to early Friday morning. We will determine on Friday at 1:30pm, if the course is open for practice. We do NOT want to mess the course up for Saturday’s Championship events and preserve the State Championship course for the Best possible racing conditions on Saturday.  Our course normally dries out quickly, so the decision by the race committee will be decided at 1:30pm on Friday if the course is open or closed. Do not arrive at our school before 1:30pm because the course will not be open.

When arriving on Friday, DO NOT go around to the back of the school because school is still in session. Buses go to the gravel lot by the stadium during school hours (before 3:20pm) and in the big student lot in front of the tennis courts after 3:20pm.

On Saturday, we will do our normal process of buses dropping off at the back of the school near Tent City and parking off campus at either Milton Middle School or the Mall 3-4 miles away. Coaches call their bus driver when ready for pickup.

Coaches can pick up their packets on Friday, but must have their rooming list in order to claim their packet. Packets are available on Saturday too and your rooming list must be handed in at this time. Packet pick-up is at the Red Track Finish line building located outside the track fence area.
