24^th  Annual Chick-fil-A Invitational Information

Location:         Wood County 4-H Grounds, 2203 Butcher Bend Rd, Mineral Wells, WV 26150

Date:               Saturday, September 7^th, 2024

Times:             7:30am – 9:00am        Course Tour

                        9:00am – Boys High School Varsity

                        9:30am – Girls High School Varsity

                        10:10am – Boys High School JV

                        10:40am – Girls High School JV

11:30am – High School Awards and Elementary School Races 

(Elementary Races are grades 1-3 and grades 4-5.  All are welcome!)

                        12:00pm – Boys Middle School Varsity

                        12:25pm – Girls Middle School Varsity

                        12:50pm – Boys Middle School JV

                        1:15pm – Girls Middle School JV

                        1:45pm – Middle School Awards

Awards:           1^st and 2^nd place High School Varsity teams in each class (AAA, AA, A)

                        Top 6 Middle School Varsity teams

                        Top 2 JV teams

                        Top 40 individual Varsity runners

                        Top 20 individual JV runners

Entries:          Entry Location TBD

Entry MUST be submitted no later than midnight on Thursday, September 5^th, 2024.  No entries are needed for Elementary races.

Entry Fee:           $60 per High School Team (if both Boys and Girls full team, $120).

                        $30 per Middle School Team (if both Boys and Girls full team, $60).

                        Individual High School Runners (not full team), $10 per athlete.

                        Individual Middle School Runners (not full team), $5 per athlete.

Payment:         Make checks payable to River City Runners.  You may bring checks the day of the race or mail them to:  Brian Blanc

(Any school whose entry fees have not been received by race time will NOT be allowed to compete.  “The check is in the mail” does NOT constitute received payment.)

Packets:          All coaches will receive packets upon arrival to the race.  Your packet will include athlete numbers, meet times, course map, bib pins, trash bag, and a voucher for one free combo meal at Chick-fil-A.

Timing:            TriState Racer (Live Results and Race Day Photos)

Spectators:      Adults - $6       Students - $5

Shirts:              Event shirts will be available for purchase on race day.

Handicap Accessibility: Handicap parking is available in a course side upper lot. We do not have the ability to safely park all handicap spectators at the Finish/Start line. If a special allowance is needed, please have your team’s coach contact the Race Director. If an allowance is given, spectators will NOT be allowed to move their vehicle outside of designated times (approximately 11:45 am and 2:00 pm). WE MUST KEEP OUR ATHLETES SAFE.
