2023 WVSSAC A Cross Country Championships 10/25 Prediction & Analysis @ Cabell (Diff: 1.0000) This should be a very tight battle between Doddridge and Williamstown for the team title. There are 7 instances of runners from the two teams being separated by 1-4 spots, so whichever team can manage to swing the most matchups should come out on top. Doddridge's slight advantage can be attributed mostly to the "large" gap between the teams' 4 runners. Teammates Katie Cottrill and Destiny Berryman should just as well have no problems taking 2nd and 3rd. Berryman possesses more wins over Cottrill on the year, but was behind her by nearly 40 seconds at regionals. They could easily flip-flop. Katie Hicks gets the 4th spot after strong performances at regionals and conference. Arabella Boggs's converted regional performance puts her very close to Hicks so she could easily challenge her for that spot. In the 6th spot is Anna Bennett who has shown great consistency on the year and is unlikely to give up her place. Next is the Williamstown duo of Ava Lightfritz and Cassie Sites. They've ran with one another all year and will likely do so again here. Virginia Haddox gets the 9th spot but could easily move into the top 5 with a good day. She was not all that far behind Cottrill and Berryman in their conference race where she was also in front of the Williamstown duo by 20+ seconds. Jenna Barnett holds the 10th spot but could get picked off by Bailey Holden who beat her at regionals by 19 seconds. Holden also has a late season win against Hicks which shows her potential to move further up into the top 10. Cassidy Cumberledge and Bentlee Williams, slated 12th and 13th respectively, both had strong conference performances that could justify a move into the top 10.
