If you need a speaker for an event, allow me to suggest Phil Cunningham. Coach Cunningham was a world class athlete when an accident took that away from him. His trials were not over yet, though, as in 2016, he developed a condition called necrotizing fasciitis, a very rapidly moving infection, in his left foot and leg. What was a little redness and soreness one day, was drastically swollen the next. He had to make the decision to have the leg amputated. This was later followed by the amputation of his right foot and leg.
Not one to be kept down or to feel sorry for himself, Coach Cunningham has persevered and has proven to be an inspiration to many.
