Williamstown's Alyssa Sauro continued her climb back from mid-season injury to place 9th at Champs Nationals. This was 2 weeks after finishing 10th at the South Regional. She was the 4th finisher from the South Region with a time of 17:39.2 on the hillier San Diego course. Winfield's Brayden Marshall also stepped up his game from the Regional, where he was the 8th place finisher. At nationals, he was the 4th finisher from the South, taking 23rd overall in 15:36.1.
