In early August, former Frankfort runner Chrisitan Cimaglia approached me with a ranking system he had been developing. The system was based on difficulty indices from courses throughout the State by comparing runners' performances on those courses throughout the season. The system then uses those indices to rank runners based on their overall performance and their performances on specific types of courses. His system goes so far as to predict times on a given course (weather dependent, of course).
I won't go into the specifics, but suffice it to say, I liked what he had done well enough to give presenting it on RunWV a shot. I'll be posting his rankings and meet predictions in this section.
