Winfield comes in as a pretty solid favorite, showing a 28 point advantage. They don't have
a lot of room for error, though as they don't have a ton of depth. Several teams are within
striking distance. Wayne and Fairmont Senior appear poised for a battle for the 2nd spot.
I don't think either team has had everyone run well at the same time. If they can get that,
they'll have a shot. Frankfort and East Fairmont both have very legitimate shots at the
podium. Again, to get there, the front 5 will all need to run well.

Predicted Class AA Girls Top 25
Individually, Rachel Withrow comes in as a slight favorite over Lydia Falkenstein. Falkenstein
won the title last year on a big final mile push but has battled some injury issues over the course
of the season and has missed several meets. Withrow hasn't really been challenged by Class AA
competition this season. The two haven't squared off this season, so there is no head-to-head
history to utilize. Emily Williamson gets the nod for the 3rd spot. She's consistently good and
has the closest finish in the field to Withrow. Jalynn Browning is the pick for 4th spot. She knocked
off Williamson at the Regional Meet, so moving up would not be a shock. Nicole Donato is a newcomer
and has impressed over the course of the season. She, too, knocked off Williamson at the Regional.
Addison Lease gets the pick for 6th. She and Donato are those rare performers who have gained points
in every single meet on the season. Claudia Moore is slotted into the 7th spot. She has stepped up
a level late in the season with very strong showings at her Conference and Regional Meets. She, Lease,
and Donato had equivalent Regional Performances. Taylor Hess is tabbed for 8th and stepped up at last
year's State Meet. Aliya Todd is another newcomer that has excelled. She's slated in the 9th position
following an exceptional middle of the season. Olivia Williamson is dropped into the 10th spot. She's
easily the next top ranked runner. I tink we go a good 20 deep with those that have a very legitimate
shot at the podium.
