2021 Region II Class A Cross Country Meet

Dear Cross-Country Coach,

Doddridge County High School will be hosting the 2021 Region II Class A Cross Country Meet at the Doddridge County Park.

Date: Thursday, October 21

Schedule: 1:00pm Girls’ Race

1:45pm Boys’ Race

Awards: Custom Region II Class A medals for places 1-20 in each division.

WVSSAC Plaque for the team champion in each division.

Qualifying for the State Meet:

To qualify as an INDIVIDUAL: Each region will qualify 20% of the total number of contestants that start the regional race to the state meet, inclusive of those individuals that qualified as a team qualifier. A minimum of 10 individuals will qualify from each region. Regular math rounding (.5 & up, round up, below .5, round down) will apply. To qualify as a TEAM: This depends on how many complete teams (5 or more runners) start the race in your regional.  If only 1 full team starts in your regional, it qualifies.  If 2-5 teams start at your regional, the top 2 qualify.  If 6-9 teams start at your regional, the top 3 qualify.  If more than 10 teams start at your regional, the top 4 qualify.

Directions: From US Route 50 take the Snowbird Road exit (Doddridge County Park) for 1.2 miles to the park entrance. Then take a right turn into the park. Busses should then turn right and let their runners off in front of the main building. Busses should then take the next right into Lone Pine Campground to park. For GPS the address is 1252 Snowbird Road, West Union, WV 26456.

Miscellaneous: 1) Each school is allowed to enter up to 10 runners for each race, but will only be allowed to run 7 in the meet. Entries must be done using "www.RaceTimeEntry.com". Mailed or faxed entries will not be permitted! We will pull entries on Sunday, October 17. 2) Please make sure that the names of the athletes that you enter are on your eligibility certificate and that they are spelled correctly.
