2021 Nitro CVB XC Invitational

Date: Saturday, October 2nd, 2021

Location: Ridenour Lake, Nitro, WV

Race Times: (Time Change to hopefully help with parking)

8:00am: Course Opens

9:00am: High School Boys

9:45am: High School Girls

11:00am: Middle School Girls

11:45am: Middle School Boys

Entries: Unlimited entries per teams.

ENTRY FEE:   $50.00 for one team $100.00 for both girls and boys

Please make checks to Nitro High with XC in the memo. Entry fees may be brought to the meet or 

mailed to Nitro High School, 1300 Park Ave, Nitro, WV 25143

Awards: Top 20 runners for each race will medal. Top 2 teams will receive a plaque.

Runners will receive medals in the chute. Plaques can be picked up after all races are completed or can be mailed.

Parking: Buses will drop off and park offsite at Nitro Elementary. Parking is limited so carpooling is encouraged. Coaches and handicap parking will be located across dam near tent city. Spectator parking will be in the lot by the gazebo. WE WILL ALSO BE RUNNING A SHUTTLE FROM NITRO LIBRARY TO AND FROM RIDENOUR LAKE. ATHLETES CAN BE DROPPED OFF AT RIDENOUR AND THEN PARENTS CAN PARK AT NITRO LIBRARY AND GET THE SHUTTLE BACK. PLEASE UTILIZE SHUTTLE TO HELP WITH THE LIMITED PARKING AT THE LAKE.

Tents: There will be a designated area near the starting line area for team tents.

Packet Pick-Up: Upon arrival, coaches can pick up packets at the entrance, which will include your athlete’s bib numbers, safety pins, course maps, and other details about the meet.

Course: Spectator-friendly. Grass, gravel road, woods, creek crossing, wood bridge, single

track section that is rocky/roots, small road crossing.

Results: Race results will be posted on www.aptiming.com
