Welcome to the 2021 DCMS Invitational Cross Country Meet. We are glad that you are here.

A few notes for you to consider:

1) As advertised, we will be running “Big Bertha” & the creek crossings, today. The race will start down over the hill behind the stage due to damage from this summer’s Doddridge County Fair that was held during a rainy week. The finish will be in the usual place.

2) A reminder: There will be Varsity & JV races today! Each team can only run 7 in the varsity races. Teams having more than 7 runners are expected to fill the varsity races and use the JV race for their additional runners.

3) Enclosed in your packets are the numbers for your runners. Please check for accuracy and make sure that the runners get their numbers.

4) We should have results available after the meet, but if not, results will be posted on the RunWV website as soon as possible.

5) If you have any problems or questions, please let us know. We want this meet to be a good experience for everyone. We encourage your input to improve this meet!

6) There will be trophies awarded to the top 5 varsity teams in each varsity race. The top 20 varsity individuals will receive trophies. The top 20 JV finishers in each JV race will receive medals.

7) There are restrooms located on the side of the main building, in the new building by the swimming pool, in the new building across from the bridge, and in the small building past the stage near the “counsel circle”.

8) Joe Gonzalez will be the starter for today’s meet. He will be assisted by Dianne Kinney.

9) You will be supplied with a trash bag for the meet. We would appreciate any help with the cleanup of your team’s area. Thanks.

10) Runners need to stay out of any deep grass near the edges of the marked course. It is not safe due to holes, rocks, etc.

11) After the runners go around the first gas well they will reach a point where they can run in the road and on either side of the road for a while.

12) Concessions and t-shirts will be available for purchase in prominent locations.

13) There is a great big tent near the main building. Anybody can use it. It was for a recent alumni get together. It should be a good place for someone to get out of the sun.
