Coaches,

Welcome to the 2021 “Doddridge County Invitational”.  We are glad that you are here.

A few notes for you to consider:

1)      A reminder:  There will be no JV races today!  Run all of your “kids” together in their respective divisions.  Only the top 7 will be counted in the scoring.

2)      Enclosed in your packets are numbers for your runners.  Please check for accuracy and make sure that the runners get their correct numbers.

3)      We should have results available for coaches after the meet.  Just come to the right side door to the small building behind the stage.

4)      If you have any problems, questions, or comments, please let us know (Craig Kellar, Amy Spurlock, Josh Weekley, or Brent Cottrill).  We want this meet to be a good experience for everyone.  We encourage your input to improve this meet!

5)      Awards (Teams 1st & 2nd and individuals 1st – 20th) will be given out at the conclusion of the meet at the stage area.

6)      The entire middle school course is painted with white arrows and has ground flags on each side all the way around the course.

7)      There are restrooms located on the side of the main building.  There are also new restrooms right by the pool, located in the small building past the stage near the “counsel circle”, and at the “Lone Pine Campground” on the other side of the bridge.  Runners are urged to use the pool's dressing rooms to change clothes and/or use the restroom.

8)      Joe Gonzalez will be the starter and referee for today’s meet. He will be assisted by Diane Kinney.

9)      You will be supplied with a trash bag for the meet.  We would appreciate any help with the cleanup of your team’s area.  Thanks.

10)  Runners need to stay out of any deep grass near the edges of the marked course.  It is not safe to venture off the course due to holes, rocks, etc.

11)  We have a new start line due to the damage to our original starting area. The starting line is over the hill from where we usually start. After the runners round the turn and go around the gas well, they will reach a point where they can choose to run in the edge of the dirt area, run in the road, or run on the left side of the road. The course is a little short of being 3000 meters.

12)  Concessions will be available in the new building by the swimming pool and from the basement of the main building.  Inspire 111 will be on hand to sell tee-shirts, as well.

13)  Admission to the meet will be $5.00 per person, taken at the top of the hill. Busses will park at the Lone Pine Campground. Other vehicles should park in an orderly fashion, being sure to not park on any part of the course.
