Belpre XC Invitational

Welcome Coaches to the 4th Annual Belpre XC Invitational! We are busy preparing
for another exciting meet this year. Below is some important information
regarding this year’s meet.
Participating Schools: Alexander, Athens, Belpre, Bridge Street MS, Bridgeport,
Caldwell, Doddridge County, Reedsville Eastern, Federal Hocking, Fisher
Catholic, Fort Frye, Gallia Academy, Marietta, Meigs, Nelsonville-York,
Parkersburg Catholic, Preston County, Ravenswood, Ritchie County, River, River
Valley, Shenandoah, South Gallia, Southern, Triadelphia MS, Trimble, Tyler
Consolidated, University, Warren, Waterford, Wheeling MS, Williamstown, Wood
County Christian.
Bus Drop-off/Parking: Buses will enter the park area next to the high school
baseball and softball fields which are near the basketball courts. From
Washington Blvd., the entrance is almost directly across the street from Belair’s
Bistro and next to Fruth Pharmacy.
Team camps may be set up on the high school baseball field which is directly
beside the bus parking lot. Team packets can be picked up just inside the
baseball field.
There will be no coaches meeting; however, there will be plenty of volunteers
along the course if you have any questions.
Awards: Varsity/Jr. High: Teams - Top 3; Individuals 1-25 Medals, 26-50 Ribbons
Individual awards will be handed out as they finish. The 1st place finisher in
each race will earn a meet t-shirt and will need to report to the t-shirt truck
to give his/her size. All results will be posted on the gazebo. Team results
will be announced approximately 10-15 minutes after the race is completed. We
would like to have pictures of the top three finishers and the top 3 teams in
each race to share on our meet website.
An exciting feature that makes our meet special is our drone coverage. Footage
of each race will be uploaded on our website, https://belprexcinvitational.com/,
within a few days of the meet. For safety purposes, athletes, coaches, and spectators
should not be inside any of the smaller baseball fields, the softball field, or
in the tennis courts.
Elementary Race: Anyone interested in signing up elementary school runners may
do so in the shelter area closest to the park restrooms. The cost per runner is
$5.
This year’s meet is set to be our biggest and best one yet! We look forward to
seeing you in a few days!
