Predicted Class AAA Girls Team Results
Morgantown will be looking to repeat as champion, and University will be looking to make a run at it. With Monongalia County out of commission for much of the season, there is limited data on both. But there is enough to know that they're the favorites. I have Morgantown winning it fairly handily, aided largely by the really strong Regional performance and the return of Lea Hatcher, who ran her first race of the season at the Regional. I have a close battle for 3rd, and I ended up with Woodrow Wilson taking the spot by just 6 points over Ripley. Not too far back are Preston and Hurricane. Any of those four taking that 3rd spot would not be a big surprise. I think there's a pretty big gap back to the rest of the field.

Predicted Class AAA Girls Top 25
Irene Riggs has been really impressive in limited action. She's the clear favorite having knocked off Ellie Hosaflook by over 30 seconds in a head-to-head matchup. Hosaflook has the easy nod for 2nd. Caroline Kirby has been strong and consistent and gets the 3rd place spot. Mia Murray slides up to the 4th spot on an excellent Regional run. Audrey Hall holds the 5th spot and has been consistently good. Allie Martin is slotted into the 6th position and had her best run of the season at the Regional. I moved Amelia Summers into the 7th spot. She's been really good in all but the OVAC Meet, running not too distantly from Murray. I moved Lea Hatcher up into the 8th spot because...well...there was no way I was leaving her out of this. She had the 10th best Regional Run in the filed, and I'm figuring another week moves her up even more. For all I know, she cruised the Regional and will unleash at the State Meet. I certainly wouldn't be shocked by a top 5. I really started struggling with placement after this. I dropped Zara Zervos into the 9th spot. She's been a bit up and down, so moving up into the top 7 or out of the top 20 are both quite reasonable. I put Charlotte McGinnis into the 10th spot. She didn't run at the Regional, but I'm assuming she'll be back for the State Meet and in good health. There are quite a few that could easily lay claim to a top 10 spot.
