2020 DCMS INVITATIONAL FINAL UPDATE (Date Change!)

 

            Because Doddridge County was orange on the Saturday Education Map on the WV Department of Education Website for Saturday, October 10, we are postponing the DCMS Invitational Cross Country Meet to Tuesday, October 20. If your team can not reschedule for that date, please let me know, so we can contact our “Standby Teams” in the order listed below!  Teams are only allowed a maximum of 14 boys and 14 girls. There will be no separate JV races. 

 

Participating teams:  Aurora, Blennerhassett, Bridgeport, Covenant Christian, Doddridge County, East Fairmont, Edison, Jackson, Hamilton, Lincoln, Mountaineer (Harrison), Mountaineer (Monongalia), South (Morgantown), Taylor County, Van Devender, Williamstown, & Wood County Christian.

When:             Tuesday, Oct. 20th, 4:00pm

 

Where:           The Doddridge County Park

 

Directions:      From US Route 50 take the Snowbird Road exit (Doddridge County Park) for 1.2 miles to the park entrance.  For GPS the address is 1252 Snowbird Road, West Union, WV  26456.

 

Schedule:        4:00pm            Girls                First Wave

                        4:30pm            Girls                Second Wave

                        5:00pm            Boys                First Wave

                        5:30pm            Boys                Second Wave

                       

Awards:         Medals for individual varsity placers 1-20 (Will be mailed to the school)

                        Plaques for 1st and 2nd place teams (Will be mailed to the school)

 

Entry Fee:      The entry fee will be $40.00 per team or $80.00 per school.  For schools without full teams the fee will be $8.00 per runner.  Make checks payable to:  Doddridge County Middle School, but send your entry fee to Craig Kellar at Doddridge County High School, 79 Bulldog Drive, West Union, WV  26456.  See the “Notes” below for how to do your entries.

 

Course:           The course is a beautiful 2.15-mile, viewer friendly, rolling grass course with one challenging hill and two creek crossings.
