Predicted AAA Girls Team Results
University's run of championships looks like it may come to an end. Despite sitting atop the rankings all season long, Morgantown has beaten them fairly soundly twice in October. I have it reasonably close, but I have Morgantown coming out on top by 12 points. It could certainly go either way, but Morgantown is the favorite. I have a very close battle for the 3rd spot between Preston and Hurricane, and I have Preston taking the spot by 3 points. Cabell Midland could slide into that spot with a strong meet. I have those five teams well ahead of the rest of the field.
1. Morgantown 46
2. University 58
3. Preston 103
4. Hurricane 106
5. Cabell Midland 123
6. Woodrow Wilson 168
7. Parkersburg 182
8. George Washington 205
9. Hampshire 239
10. Musselman 249
11. Spring Mills 270

Predicted AAA Girls Top 25
But for a couple injuries, We could be having the best State Meet ever, but with Tori Starcher out and Madison Trippett being out for most of the year, we have to settle for a still really outstanding one. Lea Hatcher is clearly the favorite and has laid down some really impressive times, including a 17:32 at the Regional. I gave Athena Young the nod for 2nd as she always seems to step up her game quite well for the State Meet. I dropped Irene Riggs into the 3rd spot, courtesy of her excellent regional showing. Zoe Shetty gets the nod for the 4th spot, having edged out Caroline Kirby in each of the last two meets. They both beat Riggs at the OVAC Championships, and it's quite conceivable that they could move into the 2-3 spots. Those five appear to have a pretty good gap on the rest of the field. I put Allie Martin in the 6th spot as the next highest ranked runner and having the 6th best regional showing. Madison Trippett is slotted into the 7th spot. As the defending champion, it's certainly well within reason that she could move higher. Isabella DiSaia has been solid all season long and falls into the 8th spot. Things really tighten up after that, and I have moved Audrey Hall into the 9th position based on consistency over the season and a strong regional. Emma Jenkins is placed into the 10th position, largely based on an excellent MSAC run on the State Meet course.
