7th Annual Wirt County Wetlands Invitational

Saturday October 5^th, 2019

Course tour: 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Races start at 9:00 a.m. with H.S. boys, then rolling schedule. (H.S. boys, H.S. Girls, MS boys, MS girls)

Restrooms: Located in large cinder block building by high school baseball field. Restrooms are small (2 stalls) so it is recommended that athletes come dressed in their uniforms.

Awards: Individual awards will be given as runners finish their race (1^st-20^th). Team awards (1^st & 2^nd) will be given to coaches as soon as scores are tabulated. In the event of a small number of entries, boys and girls may be run together. Individual awards will then be separated and given to coaches.

Concessions and meet T-shirts will be available.

Entries due by Tuesday October 1st by 11:00 p.m. on racetimeentry.com.

Entry Fees: $40 per team ($80 for boys’ and girls’ team), $8 per individual runner (4 or less per race)

Make checks payable to: Wirt County High School

Parking: Parking will be available at the ballfields. Keep in mind that after each high school race has started, entrance into the ballfield parking area will be halted until runners have safely passed. Additional parking is available at Sportsman’s park. Busses may be asked to park either at Sportman’s Park or at Wirt county High school depending space needs. Spectator entry fee will be $5.00 per person 12 and up.

Directions: If you are using Google Maps to find the entrance to the ballfields, search for Wirt County Emergency Squad WV Rt 14 Elizabeth, WV. The road to the ballfields’ entrance is right after or right before you get to the EMS station depending on the direction you are coming.

If entering Elizabeth by Route 14 S, take the gravel road immediately after the Wirt County EMS building on the right. Continue down the gravel road to the Dick Fleak Baseball/Softball fields.

If entering Elizabeth by Route 14 N, continue on R14 N as it comes into Elizabeth. It becomes Court Street. Continue on Court Street until you see Wesbanco Bank. Turn left at Wesbanco Bank onto Juliana Street. Continue down Juliana Street for about half a mile. You should see Sportsman's Park on the right and a gravel road on the left immediately preceding the Wirt County EMS building. Turn left onto the gravel road and follow the road to the Dick Fleak Baseball/Softball fields.

If entering Elizabeth by Route 5 W, take a right where Route 5 W and Route 14 N meet (Court Street). Continue down Court Street for about half a mile. Turn left at Wesbanco Bank onto Juliana Street. Continue down Juliana Street for about half a mile. You should see Sportsman's Park on the right and a gravel road on the left immediately preceding the Wirt County EMS building. Turn left onto the gravel road and follow the road to the Dick Fleak Baseball/Softball fields.
