19th Annual Wild and Wet Invitational

NOTICE: WE HAVE HAD TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF OUR COURSE THIS YEAR DUE TO LONGWALL MINING. WE HOPE TO BE BACK TO OUR HOME COURSE NEXT YEAR. SORRY—NO WATER THIS YEAR!

The Cameron High School Cross-Country team invites you to participate in the Wild and Wet Invitational. Coaches will be able to monitor their athletes without restriction. There will be an open race, middle school races, and varsity races. NOTE: We have changed the varsity races to run prior to middle school races.

Times: 7:30 am Tour the course

8:00 a.m. Open 5K Race: We hope to have an open race with all proceeds going to a scholarship in memory of Coach Bob Neely. Application will be posted by August 28.

8:30 am Coaches meeting

9:00 a.m. Women’s Varsity 5K (Plaques 1-5 Medals, 6-15.) Three team trophies.

9:45 a.m. Men’s Varsity 5K (Plaques 1-5, Medals 6-15.) Three team trophies

AWARDS: Awards ceremony at rear of banquet hall immediately following Men’s varsity race                   

10:30 a.m. Girls Middle School 3K (Medals 1-15) Three Team Trophies. Middle school Boys Middle School 3K five minutes after last middle school girl finishes. (Medals 1-15) Three Team Trophies

Boy’s race

Location: Grand Vue Park, Moundsville, WV--250 Trail Drive, Moundsville, WV 26041. This is about 1.5 miles out of Moundsville city limits. From 1^st Street (RT. 250 S) take Fostoria Avenue to Oak Avenue which transfers into Grand View Road. Go about 1 mile to course.

Entry: We will be using www.racetimeentry.com Please be sure to use this site for your entry. ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries are due October 9, 2017.

Course: This is John Marshall’s course. Challenging 5000 meter varsity course with hills, meadows, and woods. The Middle School is a 3000 meter course with one hill.  Courses are clearly marked.

Scoring: Computerized scoring—top 5 will count for team score. Individuals will be removed for team scoring.

Entry Fee: $40 per team ($80 boys/girls), $5 per individual (if under 5) and $30 per middle school team ($60 boys/girls), $3 per individual (if under 5). Checks payable to CAMERON HIGH SCHOOL

CROSS COUNTRY /mail checks to Cameron High School, Attn. Cross Country/Coach David Evans, Cameron, WV 26033 . Please register your entry by October 9, 2017.

Concession: Food and drinks will be available near the Start - Finish area.

T-Shirts: Will be sold near the finish line area.

Sanctioned: West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Admission Fee: All spectators over 12 years old--$5.00
