The USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) has named their 2016 West Virginia Cross Country Coaches of the Year.
The winners are:
Girls - Ed Frohnapfel - University - The University girls won their
3rd Straight State Championship in 2016 despite their top runner recording
a DNF. They placed 3 in the top 10, 5 in the top 18, and all 6 finishers
in the top 25. Their top runner missed out on advancing to Nike Nationals
by a single spot.
Boys - Steven Nutter - St. Marys - The St. Marys boys won the first ever Class A Team Championship while placing one in the top 10 and 3 in the top 25.
