Region III AA-A Cross Country Championships

Location:          The course is located on the grounds of Westside High School.  It is mostly flat and level with a few small inclines and consists almost entirely of grassy trails.

 

Schedule:        12:30 pm          Course Touring

                          1:30 pm          Meeting of Coaches

  2:15 pm          High School Girls (5K)

                          3:00 pm          High School Boys (5K)

·         Awards – 15 minutes after completion of Boys Race. 

·         Individual Awards to Top 10 Boys & Girls.

·         Plaque presented to 1st Place Team.

 

Entries:             All entries must be completed on RaceTimeEntry.com

                        Entry Deadline is Sunday, October 15, 2017 not later than 8:00 pm

Coaches may enter a maximum of 10 athletes for the regional meet.  However, a maximum of 7 athletes may run in the race.  All athletes entered on your roster MUST be on your eligibility certificate.

All entries must include grade level/class for each athlete.

 

Admission:       Adults: $6.00           Students: $5.00

 

Concession:     Full-service concessions will be available on-site.

 

T-Shirts:             T-shirts will be for sale (while supplies last).

 

Directions:        Westside High School is located on WV Route 971 in Clear Fork, WV 24822.  Phone number is 304-682-8965.

 

Bus Parking:     Use the 2nd Entrance Area (West end of school).  Then unload athletes at the football stadium area; then park buses in the parking lot adjacent to the baseball field on the opposite end of the school.

 

Team Tents:      “Tent City” is located near the finish line.  Areas are well-marked.

State Meet Qualifying:

1-5 teams – 2 team(s) qualify

6-9 teams – 3 teams qualify

10 or more teams – 4 teams qualify

 

Twenty percent (20%) of the number of contestants that START the race will qualify for the state meet with a minimum of ten (10) individual qualifiers. Regular math rounding (.5 and up round up; less than .5 round down).
