REGION I AAA Championships

Teams:   Brooke, Buckhannon-Upshur, John Marshall, Morgantown, Preston, University, Wheeling Park

You can enter up to 10 athletes for the regional meet.  

Only 7 of the 10 entered may run in the race.

All entries must include grade level/class.

All entries must be completed on RaceTimeEntry.com

Please make sure that the names of the athletes that you enter are on your eligibility certificate and that they are spelled correctly.

Schedule: 

Course tour – 2:15-3:45pm (Wheeling Park High School dismisses at 2:30 so you need to plan your arrival for either before the busses leave school (2:15) or after they have gone (2:45 or later). If you are going to arrive at 2:15 your bus will have to drop your team off and then park at the White Palace which is at the bottom of the hill.

Coaches Meeting: 3:30

Varsity Boys – 4:00pm

Varsity Girls –roughly 5 minutes (4:30ish) after the conclusion of the boys’ race

Awards Ceremony – 5:00 pm

WV STATE MEET Qualifying:  

1-5 teams - 2 qualifying teams

6-9 teams - 3 qualifying teams

* 5 team members must START the race to qualify as a team entry

**COACHES PLEASE GET 5 RUNNERS ON THE LINE IF YOU CAN!

Coaches Packet: Packets will be available at the meet site on arrival.

Admission Fee: WVSSAC stipulates spectators will be charged an entry fee: of $6.00 for adults, $5 for students

T-Shirts:  T-shirts will be available for sale on a first come first serve basis.

Awards: 

First place team will receive a plaque and top ten boys and girls medals.

The awards ceremonies will be held near the concession stand.
