As many of you may recall, last season, Buffalo runner Jarad Hayson was diagnosed with leukemia. A lot of schools and individuals sent team shirts for Jarad to wear during chemo treatments as a sign of support. I've been asked by his family to provide an update.

Jarad had a bone marrow transplant in December and spent 2 months in the hospital. He was very sick and could not have very many visitors because of his immune systems. We received many shirts, cards and messages from the running community. I just want to thank everyone for the support. Jarad was able to start running again and be apart of Buffalo High Schools XC team this year. By the Grace of God Jarad is back to doing what he loves. I think it is important to let people know that we appreciated their support during a very difficult time.
