Gilmer County High School Cross Country would like to host a meet on October 10th at Cedar Creek State Park.

Schedule:

9am - High School Girls

9:45am - High School Boys

10:30am - Middle School Girls

11am - Middle School Boys

Entry Information:

The entry fee for individual runners is $10.

The entry fee for High School teams - $50

The entry fee for Middle School teams - $40.

General Information:

There will be a $5 entry fee for spectators.

The entry fee into the meet will also include a meal ticket for the runners and coaches.

Directions:

Traveling 79 south, get off of exit 79 (Burnsville/Glenville Exit) and make a right. Follow route 5 until you come to a stop sign (there is a rite aid on your right). Turn left, follow Route 33 through the town of Glenville. You should see signs for Cedar Creek park. You will turn left towards Cedar Creek park and drive into the park.

Description

5K - THE RACE IS A LOOP COURSE THAT WILL START AND FINISH NEAR THE CEDAR CREEK PONDS, AT CEDAR CREEK PARK. Participants will run around the baseball field, alongside Cedar Creek, follow the turn near the road (it will be marked), and follow the path beside the ponds. They will continue across the bridge, turn left near the tennis courts, and follow the marked pathway through the shelters. From there, they will continue past the pool, cross the road, behind the school house, around the field, and back across the bridge towards the finish line.

Middle School - The run will be the same, except near the tennis courts, they will break from the high school course.

The deadline to enter is October 3rd by midnight. Please write checks to GCHS - Memo Cross Country
