17th Annual Wild and Wet Invitational

            The Cameron High School Cross-Country team invites you to participate in the Wild and Wet Invitational.  Coaches will be able to monitor their athletes without restriction.  There will be an open race, middle school race, and varsity race.  Varsity races will be limited to 7 runners per team.  There will be a reserve race.  NOTE:  We have changed the varsity races to run prior to middle school races.

                    10:40 a.m.           Kids Fun Run (400 meters) 5th graders and under (no fee/ribbons to all)

 

                    10:45 a.m.           Reserve Race – Combined –1 trophy and top 5 medals        

 

                    11:30 a.m.               Girls Middle School 3K  (7 Athletes per team)  Medals 1-15  Three Team Trophies                

                    11:55 a.m.               Boys Middle School 3K (7 Athletes per team) -- Medals    1-15  Three Team Trophies  

                    12:00 p.m.  Middle School Girls Reserve—1 team trophy and medals top 10

                    12:25 p.m.  Middle School Boys Reserve—1 team trophy and medals top 10

 

Location:        Anderson's Farm.  From Moundsville travel Route 250 South 18 miles to Dragon Field at Clouston.  Turn right across bridge next to Methodist Church and drive two miles.  You can't miss the course. 

Entry: We will be using TimeToEnter.com for our online entry system this year found at Pat Riley TriStateRacer.com.  Please be sure to use this site for your entry.  ENTRY DEADLINE:  Entries are due September 25, 2015.   

Course:  It is flat with four stream crossings.  There are two sections which are fairly steep after crossing the creek.  The approximate one-mile section in the woods (an old logging road, which has been groomed) is from 100M to 200M above the creek on a bench.  The woods are mostly flat or downhill.

Scoring:  Computerized scoring—top 5 will count for team score.  Individuals will be removed for team scoring. 

 

Entry Fee:  $40 per team ($80 per school), $5 per individual (if under 5) and $25 per middle school team ($50 per school), $3 per individual (if under 5).  Checks payable to CAMERON CROSS COUNTRY /mail checks to Cameron High School, Attn.  Cross Country/Coach David Evans, Cameron, WV  26033 .  Please register your entry by September 28, 2015. 

 

Concession:  Food and drinks will be available near the Start - Finish area.

T-Shirts:       Will be sold near the finish line area.

Sanctioned:  West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio. 

Admission Fee:  All spectators over 12 years old--$5.00 

 

                In order to have your schools name on the back of the shirt you must be registered no later than September 21, 2015
