Dear Coaches:

          Park Middle School wishes to extend an invitation to your Middle and High School Cross Country Teams to participate in the 2014 Roadrunner Invitational.  The meet will be held on Tuesday, August 26th, 2014 at the Pinecrest Industrial Park grounds adjacent Beckley Stratton Middle School.  See parking instructions below.  (same location as last year)

 

Race Times:                4:00 pm Course Inspection

                                      5:00 pm Middle School – Girls race

5:30 pm Middle School – Boys race

6:00 pm High School – Girls race

6:30 pm Middle School Awards

6:40 pm High School – Boys race

7:15 pm High School Awards

                    (JV and Varsity run together, top 7 counts for team placing)

 

Entry Fees:        Middle School: $30 per team/$50 for Boys and Girls team per school

                             High School: $35 per team/$60 for Boys and Girls team per school

$ 7 per Individual

Spectator fees $3 adult, $2 student, 10 & under are free

Entries:               Race Entries may be done using www.timetoenter.com or by emailing roster in Excel form to beckleycoach@yahoo.com

Computerized scoring will be used.  

Entry Fee and Entries must be received by 10pm, Friday, August 22nd.  

 

Awards:              Team Plaque for Champion and Runner-up for each race.

Individual engraved medals for top 15 runners in each race.

 

Course:      Challenging course with rolling hills and woods. 

                             Mostly grass, with one asphalt crossing. 

                             Course is spectator friendly.

 

Misc:                    Concessions and Invitational t-shirts available.

                             Restrooms will be at Beckley Stratton Middle.

                             There will be no changing rooms

 

 

Directions:         From I-64 East South of Beckley, Take Exit # 124. 

                             The Exit Ramp leads onto Joe L Smith Dr.

                             Travel 1.3 miles, Turn LEFT onto Levels Lane.

                             Travel 1/10 mile to Intersection with Grey Flats Rd.

                   At this Intersection (chose below):

                   ****  Buses and Spectator parking - continue forward, cross

                                      Grey Flats Rd.  Continue as the road then veers Right

                                      and turns into Cranberry Creek Drive. Auto Parking is

                                      in the field on the right.  Parking Attendants will assist

                                      with auto and bus parking.

                   ****  Handicap Parking and Equipment Drop off – Turn Right

                                      Onto Grey Flats Road, Travel 3/10 mile, and Beckley-

                                      Stratton Middle School will be on the Left.  Turn Left

                                      into the school grounds, and stay to the Right.  Parking

                                      Attendants will assist.
