Welcome:    Coaches, we would like to extend to you and your team an invitation to

the 2014 John Marshall XC Invitational.  We hope you will be able to

                   participate this year and look forward to seeing you.

 

Date:           Saturday, September 27, 2014

 

Times:         8:00 a.m.     Tour the course

9:00 a.m.     Middle School boys followed by girls five minutes after

last Middle School girl finishes.

                   Middle School awards ceremony at banquet hall rear                       

                   9:30 a.m.     Coaches meeting if needed

                   10:00 a.m.             Boys Varsity (5000m.)

                   10:40 a.m.   Girls Varsity (5000m.)

Location:    Grand Vue Park overlooking Moundsville, WV.

                   Starting line is located at the old golf driving range.

 

Course:       Challenging 5000 meter varsity course with hills, meadows, and woods. The Middle School is a 3000 meter course with one hill.  Courses are clearly marked.  Course judges with radio communication will be positioned on both courses during the races.

 

Scoring:      The top seven runners will count for a team score.  Individuals

                   will be removed for team scoring. 

 

Awards:      Awards will be given to the top 20 men and women finishers in the varsity races.  Team awards will go to the top two teams in the men and

women’s varsity races.  Middle school awards will be top two team awards and medals to the top 20 boys and girls. 

 

Concessions:  Food and drinks will be available during the meet.

                        Meet t-shirts will be available for purchase.

 

Fees:               High School Varsity - $80.00 (Boys and Girls teams, both)

                        High School Varsity - $40.00 (Boys or Girls Team, only one)

                        Middle School - $60.00 (Boys and Girls teams, both)

                        Middle School - $30.00 ( Boys or Girls team, one only)

                        $6.00 (per individual, if entering under five)

 

Make checks

payable to:     John Marshall Cross Country Boosters

                       Checks may be mailed with entries or hand delivered on meet

                        day.  No team will be permitted to run if their entry fee is not

                        paid by race day.
