We would like to invite your team to the Beaver Run
Invitation Cross Country Meet on October 9, 2014. The course is on the top of the mountain at
the Little Beaver State Park campgrounds.
Since renovations to the Park, the course is highly spectator
visible. There will be middle and high school
races for both genders.

Run Invitational Cross Country Meet
The Beaver Run Invitational Cross Country meet will
be held on October 9, 2014 at Little Beaver State Park in Daniels, WV. The new course is very spectator friendly
around the newly developed campsite area at the Park. The course is mostly grass and consists of
some short hilly terrain.
Little Beaver State Park is located off I-64E at the
Shady Spring exit 129A. Turn right onto route 307 for approximately 2 miles and
the park is on the left. The park can be
reached from the Daniels area by turning left off route 19 onto 307.
ENTRY
FEES: There
will be no spectator fees for these races and the entry fee is minimal. Each team is assessed $35.00 per team.
Individual runners will be assessed $5.00 each up to 4 entrants. All fees are payable to: Shady Spring High
School PO Box
2001, Shady Spring, WV 25918. Fees may be paid on the day of the race, or
mailed prior to the race. The race
contestants can be entered on the following website: http://timetoenter.com or sent to jlucento@access.k12.wv.us.
PARKING
AND CONCESSIONS: There will be a concession stand with hot dogs, soft drinks and
water. Some general cross country or
running T-shirts will be available. All parking will be at the lower parking
lot at the Park and there will be a short walk-up to the course. This will be done so that all of the course
can be visible without obstruction.
Special arrangements will be made for those with disabilities.
RACE
TIMES: All races will be electronically
timed and results will be prompt and races will be on schedule. The race times and events schedule is listed
below:
2:30-3:30pm
- View course
3:45-4:15
– Boys middle school 3K
4:15-5:00
– Girls middle school 3K
5:00-5:45
– Girls High School 5K and middle school awards
6:00-7:00
– Boys High School 5K followed by high school awards
AWARDS: The top 10 runners in all divisions will
receive a medal at the finish line. The
top two teams in each gender division will receive awards.
