Ashland Invitational     

 

On behalf of Ashland Paul Blazer High School, we are extending an invitation for your school to be a part of the 12th annual Ashland Invitational on September 27, 2014. 

 

The course is run entirely on trails and grass and is a combination of rolling hills and flat areas, which should provide for exciting races.  The infamous “HEARTBREAK HILL” is a large part of the course’s popularity. The high school races will be 5,000 meters, the junior high/middle school races will be 3,000 meters, and the elementary races will be 1,600 meters.  There will be a small admission fee for spectators.  Changing facilities and restrooms will be on site.  There will be a large area for school tents and parking.  In the event of inclement weather, various buildings are available for cover for participants as well as spectators.  Exclusive Ashland Invitational T-shirts will be on sale.  Hot and cold concessions will be available.  The awards’ ceremony will be next to the start/finish area.

 

Entry fees for our meet are $50 per High School Varsity Team,  $35 per Junior High/Middle School Team, $25 per Elementary Team.  There is a $10 per runner fee for all other individuals.  There will be a $125 per school maximum fee regardless of the number of teams entered.  Please make checks payable to: Ashland Paul Blazer Cross Country and mail to Phillip Caudill-Head Cross Country Coach, 1600 Blackburn Ave. Ashland, KY 41102.  The deadline for entry applications and fees is September 20, 2014.  No entries after the deadline.  ENTRIES WILL BE COMPLETED ONLINE BY EACH TEAM at www.kytrackxc.com

 

NOTICE:  Any school whose entry fee has not been received by the day of the race will not be allowed to participate.  “Checks in the mail” do not constitute received payment.
