Predicted A-AA Girls Team Results
Can Philip Barbour make it four in a row? It looks like they can. They're coming in as the favorite, but this is likely to be the closest team race of the four races. I've made the picks on the assumption that Katie Mahoney will not be running. She last raced on September 17th. If she is running, the pick of Philip Barbour to win becomes a lot more solid, but they're the favorite even if she doesn't. I have Philip Barbour winning by just 8 points over Charleston Catholic. Charleston Catholic will have to perform much better than they did at their Regional if they want to contend. They were only the 5th best team based on Regional performance alone. I have Williamstown another 12 points back and certainly in contention. Berkeley Springs is another 15 points back, with Oak Glen and Frankfort not far behind. I could see any of these teams contending for a podium spot if their 3-4-5 runners have strong showings. That's one of the great things about Cross Country. It's not the superstar that wins the championship for a team. It's the role players that come out and have a great run.

Predicted A-AA Girls Top 25
This is probably a two person race. Alicia Parsons and Kelsey Chambers have both held the top spot during the season. Parsons holds it coming into the meet and beat Chambers in their only two meetings. However, they haven't squared off since September 7th, so the relevance of those two meetings isn't strong. Chambers had the better regional run, but only by the equivalent of 2 seconds. It should be an excellent race, but I'm going with Parsons for the top spot. If there is a 3rd person that will challenge them, it's likely to be Danielle Haynes, who has put together an excellent season. I've slotted her in 3rd with teammate Kinsey Reed in 4th. I have Hailey Miller in 5th, but she's certainly a threat for a top 3. I've put Kylie Rutherford in 6th. Her ranking doesn't place her in the top 10, but I keep waiting for her to jump forward. I've given Marissa Long 7th, just a tick over Montana Garrett and Julianna Butcher, who I've slotted in 8th and 9th, respectively. I've picked Cami Mosser to round out the top 10. The podium threats go about 20 deep in this one.
