Hurricane High Cross Country Invitational

On behalf of Hurricane High School, we are extending an invitation for your school to be part of our meet on September 28th. The meet site is at Valley Park in Hurricane. This is a challenging course with a combination of grass and park trails. The course is very spectator friendly. The high school course covers 5,000 meters and the middle school course will be 3,000 meters. The elementary race will be 900 Meters. There will be an admission fee for spectators. There will be an area to set up tents. In case of inclement weather, there are several shelters that spectators can get in at different parts of the course. Parking will be restricted to the large parking area in front of the pool. There are restrooms at three different locations at the park. There are no shower facilities. There will be a meet t-shirt for sale. The awards ceremony will be in the large shelter at the start/finish area.

Race Schedule:

Elementary combined: 8:00 a.m.

High School Girls: 8:30 a.m.

High School Boys: 9:15 a.m.

High School Awards: 10:00 a.m.

Middle School Girls: 10:30 a.m.

Middle School Boys: 11:00 a.m.

Middle School Awards: Immediately after the finish of the Middle School race

Awards:

Individuals High School: Medals to top 10/ Ribbons for 11-25 in each race

Middle School: Medals to top 10/ Ribbons for 11-25 in each race

Elementary: Participation ribbons to all runners

Team Plaques: High School 1st – 3rd

Middle Schools 1st-3rd

Entry Information:

Entry Fee: $70.00 per school, $40.00 per team, or $8.00 per individual.

Please make checks payable to Hurricane High School.

Entries are due by September 27th

High School and Middle School entries will be done on the TimetoEnter.com website. Please contact us if you need directions on using this site. Elementary race entries should be done through email. Please include the entrant’s Name, Gender, and Age.
