2012 Ben Queen Photography - Indian Run Invitational

The 2012 Ben Queen Photography - Indian Run Invitational will be hosted by Bridgeport High School at the Bridgeport City Park and Wayne Jamison Field on Saturday September 8, 2012.   The course will start in the park and feature a variety of terrain with the final portion of the race finishing on the track at Wayne Jamison Field.  The race will be timed using Bridgeport High School's fully automated FinishLynx Timing System.

  

Teams will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.  We will be accepting the first 10 teams for both the Middle School and High School events.  Each team will be allowed to race 7 athletes in each varsity race.  No exhibition runners will be accepted or allowed to race in the varsity race.   JV races will be open to additional runners (within reason).

 

Teams will be able to park at the Bridgeport City Park on a first come first serve basis.  Additional parking, as well as spectator parking, will be available behind Bridgeport High School and at Wayne Jamison Field.   Restroom facilities will be available both at the park and at the field.  Concessions will be available.  T-shirts will be available.  Spectators will be charged a small entry fee which will give them access to both the park and the field.  

 

The awards ceremonies will be held on Wayne Jamison Field.  Awards will consist of first and second place team awards and medals for the top 10 in the  Varsity Boys and Girls races and the Middle School Boys and Girls races.  No awards will be given out in the JV races.  All athletes will be timed.

 

This year we will be holding an Adult Cross Country 5K race as well.  It will be open to coaches, parents and the general public.  The participants will run the same course as the High School athletes.  An entry fee of $10.00 per runner will be charged.  The race will be limited to the first 100 entries.  There will be no age grouping.  T-Shirts will be available for purchase.  Male and female athletes will run together. The top 5 male and top 5 female finishers will receive awards.

ENTRY FEE

$30.00 per team (boys or girls team),  $50 per school (boys and girls teams)

Please make checks payable to Bridgeport High School.
