Coalfield Conference Meet

The Coalfield Conference Cross Country Meet will again be held at Little Beaver State Park on Saturday, October 15, 2011.    Shady Spring High School will be hosting the meet at the lake.  The course is set on the mountain top at the lake and runs through gravel roads, grassy fields and a short section of pavement.  Much of the course is visible to spectators and there are several grassy areas to sit and watch.  The high school Coalfield Conference Meet is limited to teams in the Coalfield Conference.  There will be a middle school race as well on the day of the Coalfield Conference meet.

Awards: High School – Coalfield Conference
Individuals:  Plaques to top 10 runners in each gender division
Team Trophies – Boys- 1st place /2nd place
                              Girls-1st place /2nd place

Coalfield Middle School Invitational Meet
This race is open to all West Virginia Middle Schools.
Awards: Middle School – Coalfield Conference
Individuals:  Medals to top 10 runners in each gender division
Team Trophies – Boys - 1st place/2nd place   
                              Girls - 1st place/2nd place

Coalfield Elementary School Invitational Meet
This race is open to all West Virginia Elementary Schools.
Awards: Elementary School – Coalfield Conference
Individuals:  Medals to top 15 runners.  Participation ribbons for all other runners

Event Schedule:
8:00am-8:30am – Tour the course
8:30-Boy’s Middle School Race
9:15-Girl’s Middle School Race (Awards will be given after this race)
10:00-Girl’s High School Varsity race (no limit on number of runners)
10:45-Boy’s High School Varsity race (no limit on number of runners) (Awards will be given after this race)
12:00-Elementary School Race (all gender race)

Entry and registration

Entry fees:
High schools $65.00 per school for two teams or 35.00 per individual team.
High School Individual runners = $7.00 each
Middle Schools:  $35.00 per school for two teams or $20.00 per individual team
Middle School Individual runners = $4.00 each
The elementary School race is free.
