2009 Doddridge County Invitational

Dear Cross-Country Coach,

 

            The Doddridge County High School and Middle School Cross-Country Teams would like to invite you and your teams to the 2009 “Doddridge County Invitational”.  This year we will have the event on Tuesday, September 15.  (We will still have the annual Doddridge Middle School Invitational on October 13, though.)  Notice that the high school races will be before the middle school races!    

 

Date:                Tuesday, September 15

 

Schedule:          4:30pm             High School Girls          (5K)

                        5:05pm             High School Boys         (5K)

                        5:40pm             Middle School Girls      (3K)

                        6:05pm             Middle School Boys     (3K)

 

Entry Fees:       High School - $35 for each team ($70 for boys & girls)

                        Middle School - $35 for each team ($70 for boys & girls)

                        $6 per runner if you do not have a full team

                        Make checks payable to “DCHS Athletics”.

                       

Awards:           High School – Trophies for 1st and 2nd place teams

                                                Trophies for individual placers 1 – 10

                                                Medals for individual placers 11 – 20

 

                        Middle School – Same as for the high school division!

                       

Course:            Two creek crossings and medium rolling hills for HS & MS runners

                        An additional significant hill climb for the high school runners

 

Miscellaneous:  1) There will be no separate JV races.  Just run all of your runners together; your first 7 to finish will be the only ones that will count in the scoring.  Please e-mail me at the address below if you are interested in coming.  We will be using a computer scoring system.  Meet Event Files will be placed on RunWV.com so you can submit rosters via Hy-Tek.  Otherwise, completed entry forms will be required.  Fax entries to the number on the entry form, please!  Send all entry fees (High School & Middle School) to Craig Kellar at Doddridge County High School, 201 Stuart St., West Union, WV  26456.  2) Special “Doddridge County Invitational” T-Shirts will be on sale at the meet.  3) Admission will be charged for spectators at the top of the hill.  See you on September 15th!
