About the Camp

The Eagle Cross Country Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of long-distance   running   and   prepare athletes  for  their  upcoming  seasons.  Morehead State  varsity cross country runners   will  lead   campers  on  daily workouts  through  the  Daniel  Boone National  Forest   and Cave  Run Lake area.  Former  Eagle  runners, top-ranked tri-state coaches, and elite runners, will host daily instructional seminars.   The  key concepts of proper training, hill  running, goal setting,  mental preparation and nutrition will be discussed by this panel of experts.  An individual analysis of form and training will be given during the week as well.  The week will end with a 2 mile race.

During  Camper’s  free time, they may   participate in organized activities      including swimming, tennis, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, card  tournaments, and other activities.

Last year ended up being a great success   with nearly fifty runners in attendance.  Campers came in from Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. This year we are striving for an even greater amount of campers who are   looking to reach great heights in the upcoming Cross Country season.

Fees

     $215 per individual.

$200 for a team of 5 or more
